Non-Classical Monocyte Subpopulation to Non-TBNK Leukocyte Ratio Measurement
The determination of the ratio of a sub-population of non-classical monocytes to all leukocytes that are not T-cells, B-cells, or natural killer cells, present in a sample. The measurement may be expressed as a ratio or percentage.
Phenazocine Measurement
The determination of the amount of the phenazocine in a sample.
Prazepam Measurement
The determination of the amount of prazepam present in a sample.
Non-Classical Monocyte to Lymphocyte and Monocyte Ratio Measurement
The determination of the ratio of non-classical monocytes compared to lymphocytes present in a sample. The measurement may be expressed as a ratio or percentage.
Intermediate Monocytes to Lymphocyte Subpopulation Ratio Measurement
The determination of the ratio of the intermediate monocytes to a subpopulation of lymphocytes present in a sample. The measurement may be expressed as a ratio or percentage.
Free Erythrocyte Protoporphyrin Measurement
The determination of the amount of free erythrocyte protoporphyrin present in a sample.
AM-2201 Measurement
The determination of the amount of the AM-2201 in a sample.
Influenza A RNA Measurement
The determination of the amount of Influenza A RNA in a biological sample.
G6PD-Deficient Erythrocytes to Erythrocytes Ratio Measurement
The determination of the ratio of the G6PD-deficient erythrocytes as compared to the total erythrocytes present in a sample. The measurement may be expressed as a ratio or percentage.
Abnormal Blast Count
The determination of the amount of abnormal blast cells present in a sample.
17-Hydroxyprogesterone Test
A 17-hydroxyprogesterone test measures the amount of 17-hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP) in a sample of your blood. 17-OHP is a substance that your adrenal glands make. Health care providers can use this test to help diagnose a group of uncommon genetic disorders that affect the adrenal glands. These genetic adrenal gland disorders are called congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). Your adrenal glands are two small organs that sit on top of each kidney. They make different types of hormones , which are chemical messengers in your bloodstream that control the actions of certain cells or organs.
Zika Virus Test
A Zika virus test looks for signs of the Zika infection in your blood or urine. Zika is a type of flavivirus, as is dengue fever and West Nile . Like those viral infections , Zika is usually spread by mosquitoes , especially in areas with tropical climates, such as parts of Central and South America, Africa, Mexico, and islands in the Caribbean and Pacific. Because Zika can enter bodily fluids such as blood, urine (pee), and semen, it can also spread through sex with an infected person or from a pregnant woman to her fetus.
Xylose Testing
Xylose, also known as D-xylose, is a type of sugar ( carbohydrate ) that is normally easily absorbed by your intestines. A xylose test checks the level of xylose in both your blood and urine to see how well you absorb carbohydrates.
White Blood Count (WBC)
A white blood count measures the number of white blood cells (WBCs) in your blood. White blood cells, also called leukocytes, are part of your immune system . They are a type of blood cell made in your bone marrow and found in your blood and lymph tissue (part of your immune system). If you are injured or get sick, the white blood cells will travel through your bloodstream and tissues to where they are needed. There, they will help your body fight off infections and other diseases.
White Blood Cell (WBC) in Stool
This test looks for white blood cells in a sample of your stool (poop). White blood cells are also called leukocytes, so this test is sometimes called a leukocytes in stool test.
What You Need to Know About Blood Testing
Blood tests are used to measure or look at cells, chemicals, proteins, or other substances in your blood . Blood testing, also known as blood work, is one of the most common types of lab tests. Blood work is often included as part of a regular checkup . Blood tests are also used to:
Vitamin E (Tocopherol) Test
A vitamin E test measures the amount of vitamin E in your blood. Vitamin E (also known as tocopherol or alpha-tocopherol) is a nutrient that is found in every cell of your body. It helps your nerves and muscles work well, prevents blood clots, and boosts your immune system so it can fight off infections from germs .
Vitamin B Test
A vitamin B test measures the amount of one or more B vitamins in your blood or urine (pee). B vitamins are nutrients that your body needs to work well and stay healthy. There are eight different types. All together, they are called the “B vitamin complex.”
Urobilinogen in Urine
A urobilinogen in urine test measures the amount of urobilinogen in your urine (pee). Urobilinogen comes from bilirubin. Your body makes bilirubin during the normal process of breaking down old red blood cells. Your liver uses the bilirubin to make bile, a fluid that helps you digest food in your intestines. Some bile flows through your bile ducts (small tubes) from your liver directly into your intestines. The rest is stored in your gallbladder for when you need it.
Uric Acid Test
A uric acid test measures the amount of uric acid in a sample of your blood or urine (pee). Uric acid is a normal waste product that your body makes when it breaks down chemicals called purines. These chemicals come from your cells when they die and can be found in certain foods and beverages.
TSH (Thyroid-stimulating hormone) Test
TSH stands for thyroid stimulating hormone . Another name for it is thyrotropin. A TSH test is a blood test that measures this hormone. A TSH level that is too high or too low may be a sign of a thyroid problem .
Troponin Test
A troponin test measures the level of troponin in a sample of your blood. Troponin is a protein that's found in the cells of your heart muscle.
Triiodothyronine (T3) Tests
A triiodothyronine (T3) test measures the level of T3 in a sample of your blood. It's used to help diagnose thyroid disease .
Triglycerides Test
A triglycerides test is a blood test that measures the amount of a fat in your blood called triglycerides. High blood triglyceride levels may increase your risk for heart disease and stroke . A triglycerides test can help you decide if you need to take action to lower your risk.
