Indicators
A type of antinuclear antibody that specifically targets double stranded DNA; while these antibodies are sometimes detectable in multiple different autoimmune disorders, their presence is generally considered highly specific for systemic lupus erythematosus.
Indicators
This gene is involved in apoptosis, DNA repair and cell cycle regulation.
Indicators
This gene is involved in cell cycle checkpoints and DNA recombination.
Indicators
This gene plays a role in DNA unwinding and recombination-mediated telomere lengthening.
Indicators
This gene plays a role in cell cycle control, regulation of transcription and the maintenance of genomic stability. It is also involved in the inhibition of mammary cell growth.
Indicators
This gene is involved in cell cycle control, DNA repair and the maintenance of genomic stability. It also plays a role in the proliferation of embryonic cells.
Indicators
This gene is involved in DNA double-strand break repair.
Indicators
Quantitative marker of cytomegalovirus replication used in transplant and immunocompromised care.
Indicators
Molecular detection of Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae nucleic acid.
Indicators
The most potent androgen, required for sex development. Dihydrotestosterone is synthesized from testosterone in the prostate gland, testes, hair follicles and adrenal glands by 5-alpha reductase. Dihydrotestosterone exerts its action similar to testosterone, which binds to and activates specific nuclear androgen receptors. After translocation into the nucleus, the activated hormone-receptor complex binds to the androgen response elements on the DNA and activates gene expressions that are required for sex development. Dihydrotestosterone is responsible for the formation of male primary sex characteristics and most male secondary sex characteristics during puberty, such as muscular growth, facial and body hair growth, and deepening of the voice.
Indicators
This gene is involved in epigenetic modification of DNA.
Indicators
This gene plays a role in DNA repair and regulation of transcription.
