Glossary Term
Required or expected data that is not present, which may be due to non-completion or corruption.
Indicators
This gene is involved in transcriptional promotion in melanocytes.

Tests
MPV stands for mean platelet volume. Platelets (also called thrombocytes) are small blood cells that stick together to make blood clots that stop or slow bleeding when you have a cut or injury. Platelets are made in your bone marrow.
Tests
A MRSA test looks for MRSA bacteria in a sample of fluid or tissue from your body. The sample is often taken from your nose or a wound. MRSA stands for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus . It is a type of staph bacteria.
Tests
An MTHFR gene test checks a sample of your blood for two very common changes in a gene called MTHFR . Changes in your genes are also called gene variants or mutations.
Indicators
This gene plays a role in apoptosis, cell growth, differentiation and proliferation.

Tests
The determination of the DNA from the multiple human papillomavirus types that are also considered as high risk for causing cancer, in a sample.
Glossary Term
Any transmissible change in the genetic material of an organism, which can result from radiation, viral infection, transposition, treatment with mutagenic chemicals and errors during DNA replication or meiosis. The effects of mutation range from single base changes to loss or gain of complete chromosomes. As many of the simpler alterations to DNA may be repaired, such changes are only heritable once the change is fixed in the DNA by the process of replication. Mutations may be associated with genetic diversity or with pathologies including cancer.
Tests
Myasthenia gravis (MG) tests are used to diagnose MG, a chronic (long-lasting) autoimmune disease that causes weakness in muscles throughout your body. In autoimmune diseases, your immune system mistakenly attacks the healthy cells of your organs and tissues. If you have MG, your immune system makes antibodies that block or change the connection between your nerves and muscles.
